The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has increased remuneration for thousands of teachers performing examination duties across the city by 50 percent.
Under the revised rates, the daily allowance for superintendents has increased from Rs. 1,560 to Rs. 2,340, while deputy superintendents will now receive Rs. 1,800, up from Rs. 1,260. The remuneration for invigilation staff has also increased from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 per day.
The board has also raised the allowance for mobile inspectors from Rs. 1,080 to Rs. 1,620, distributor inspectors from Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 1,800, and practical examiners from Rs. 1,540 to Rs. 2,310.
Controller of Examinations Tauseef ur Rehman said the increase recognizes teachers’ hard work, integrity and valuable contribution to conducting examinations.
