The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has called for an immediate de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East and asked all parties to halt hostilities and return to negotiations to prevent the war from escalating further.
In an official statement, the UAE expressed deep concern over the latest regional developments and warned that continued fighting could worsen instability across the region.
It didn’t blame the US military for breaking the Islamabad MoU despite Iran’s commitment to it.
The UAE stressed the need for an immediate end to hostilities and a swift return to diplomatic talks. It also emphasized the importance of ensuring safe and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement further condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure, including schools, hospitals and residential areas, calling them a serious violation of international law that cannot, under any circumstances, be accepted or justified.
Earlier this month, Iran exposed UAE for supporting US operation Epic Fury and urged all negotiators to hold Abu Dhabi accountable for its actions.
The US Department of Commerce recently released a press release stating that it was upgrading the UAE’s export status.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, said the document proves the UAE supported the US military attacks on Iran.
