The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has invited electronic bids for the construction of the Rs. 3.2 billion Capital House project in Islamabad, moving ahead with the development of a new government complex in Sector F-5.
According to the CDA, bidding documents will be available from July 20, while interested engineering firms and joint ventures can submit their proposals through the authority’s electronic procurement system until August 31, 2026.
Technical bids will be opened on August 31 at 11:30 am. The authority said only electronic submissions will be accepted, and manual bids will not be considered.
The selected contractor will undertake the project on a turnkey basis, covering the complete development of the Capital House.
The project was approved in November 2025 after the CDA, chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, cleared its PC-I.
Capital House is being developed on the model of existing provincial government residences in Islamabad, including Punjab House, Sindh House, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Balochistan House, Kashmir House and Gilgit House, which provide official accommodation and administrative facilities for their respective governments.
Officials said the new facility will serve as a dedicated government complex for the capital administration by providing office space and official accommodation. The project is expected to centralize administrative functions and improve government operations in Islamabad.
According to officials, the project has completed its design phase and will move into construction once the contract is awarded and funding requirements are met. Construction is expected to be completed within one year, subject to the timely release of funds and completion of all required formalities.
