The prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) were changed on Monday night to officially commence the government’s latest measure to update fuel prices daily.
Petrol was decreased by Rs. 0.35/litre to Rs. 315.80 per litre, while diesel rose by Rs. 5.71/litre to sell for Rs. 360.06 per litre.
An official notification by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) was later shared to confirm the new rates.
Meanwhile, the uncertainty in global crude prices has created panic in the market after the US restarted its war against Iran. At the time of press, Brent was trading around $90 per barrel.
Last week, Petrol was increased by Rs. 5.44/litre to Rs. 316.15 per litre, while diesel rose by Rs. 31.05/litre to sell for Rs. 354.35 per litre.
