CDA Demolishes 67 Shops And 15 Houses in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) demolished dozens of illegally built structures during a major anti-encroachment operation in Chontra Village, Islamabad, as part of its campaign to reclaim government land.

Using heavy machinery, CDA teams razed 67 illegally constructed shops and 15 vacant houses that officials said had been built on state-owned land without authorization.

The operation was supervised by the Assistant Commissioner, while officials from the district administration coordinated with CDA teams throughout the exercise.

A heavy police deployment remained in place to maintain law and order and ensure the demolition proceeded without any major incidents.

The CDA said its anti-encroachment drive will continue until all illegal occupations of public land in the area are removed, reaffirming its commitment to recovering state property and taking action against unauthorized construction.
