Google has launched three new Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) models, introducing Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber. The company says the new models improve coding, reasoning, multimodal capabilities, and cybersecurity workflows.
Gemini 3.6 Flash
Google describes Gemini 3.6 Flash as its new “workhorse” model. According to the company, it delivers better performance in coding, knowledge work, and multimodal tasks while also being more efficient and producing higher-quality results than its predecessor.
Google said customers have found the model particularly effective for multimodal workloads, including document parsing, chart and data analysis, and report drafting.
Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite
Google also introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, which is designed for low-latency tasks and high-throughput developer workflows.
According to the company, the model is intended for workloads such as agentic search and document processing. Google said it is the fastest model in the Gemini 3.5 series and significantly outperforms its predecessor across different thinking levels.
Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber
The third model, Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, has been fine-tuned to identify and help fix cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
Google said the model offers a lower cost per token than larger AI models while remaining optimized for cybersecurity-related tasks.
Initially, Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber will only be available to governments and selected trusted partners through a limited-access pilot program, according to the company.
