Samsung Launches AI Health Assistant to Explain Your Body Like Never Before

Samsung has launched Health Assistant, a new AI-powered personal health assistant inside the Samsung Health app.

Samsung says Health Assistant is designed to help users better understand their wellness data and ask questions about their health trends.

How Health Assistant Works

Health Assistant connects data from Samsung Health’s five core wellness areas: sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vitals.

Samsung says the assistant turns this information into actionable insights and explains how each variable affects the others. This means users can see connections between different parts of their routine instead of viewing each metric separately.

Personalized Health Guidance

Samsung says Health Assistant can identify patterns and signals that users may otherwise miss.

The company also says its recommendations have been validated by a team of physicians and certified health coaches. However, Samsung notes that Health Assistant will not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

More Coaching Features Coming Later

Samsung plans to expand Health Assistant in the future.

The company says future capabilities may include coaching for behavior change and support for more Samsung Health services, including weight management. Samsung also plans to use its Personal Data Engine to make responses more personal based on a user’s schedule and preferences.

Part of Samsung’s Connected Care Push

Dr. Hon Pak, Senior Vice President and Head of Samsung’s Digital Health Team, said the new assistant supports Samsung’s Connected Care vision.

He said the feature is meant to give users a deeper understanding of their mind and body through daily health monitoring and create more opportunities for early detection.

For now, Health Assistant is limited to eligible Samsung Health users in the US. Samsung has not announced a global rollout date.
