Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Purifying Humidifier 3 Pro, a new smart home appliance that combines air purification and humidification in one device.
Xiaomi has not announced global availability as of yet, but given the popularity of Xiaomi’s gadgets in Pakistan, there is a chance we will get to see it in the local market as well.
Humidification Performance
The Mijia Purifying Humidifier 3 Pro can deliver up to 2,000mL of moisture per hour.
Xiaomi says this output can raise humidity in a standard bedroom in about seven minutes and in a larger living room in around 19 minutes. The device uses an 8-liter water tank, which can provide up to 16 hours of continuous humidification in sleep mode.
Air Purification Features
The appliance also works as an air purifier.
It uses a six-layer composite filter and offers a particulate matter CADR of 422m³/h and a formaldehyde CADR of 247m³/h. The filter system is designed to capture large debris, PM1 and PM2.5 particles, formaldehyde, and common allergens.
The humidification and purification functions can also work separately, so users can run it only as an air purifier when humidity levels are already comfortable
Cleaner Water System
Xiaomi has added a one-way spray water circulation system to reduce common humidifier maintenance issues.
The design prevents used water from flowing back into the main tank, helping reduce water discoloration and bacterial growth. The device also includes electrolyzed water sterilization and a washable antibacterial filter for longer-term hygiene.
Smart Controls and Display
The top of the unit has an LCD dome display with adaptive brightness.
It shows real-time readings for temperature, humidity, dust concentration, PM1, and PM2.5 levels. The device can also connect to the Mijia app for remote controls, data tracking, filter monitoring, and automatic humidity adjustment. It also supports XiaoAI voice commands.
Design and Noise
Xiaomi has included top-fill water refilling and a removable water tank with a carrying handle.
The device sits on 360-degree caster wheels, making it easier to move between rooms. It also uses a DC brushless inverter motor and optimized airflow channels, with claimed noise as low as 28.1dB(A) in sleep mode.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mijia Purifying Humidifier 3 Pro will launch through Youpin crowdfunding in China for $250.
