The Islamabad administration sealed a petrol pump in Sector I-9 and arrested its manager after a customer complained that the station had filled 61 liters of petrol into a vehicle with a 50-liter fuel tank.
According to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, the complaint was received by the Assistant Commissioner (Industrial Area), following which a magistrate visited the petrol pump to investigate the matter.
After verifying the complaint on the spot, the magistrate sealed the petrol pump, arrested the manager, and imposed a fine.
The DC Islamabad said the district administration is taking immediate action on public complaints to protect consumers and ensure strict action against violations.
