The Sindh government is considering a package of relief measures for government employees and pensioners in the upcoming provincial budget, according to proposals that have surfaced ahead of the budget announcement.
Under the proposals, employees and pensioners in Grades 1 to 16 could receive a 20 percent increase in salaries and pensions, while those in Grades 17 to 22 may get a 15 percent raise.
The government is also considering revising pay scales for employees from Grades 1 to 21.
In addition, a proposal has been put forward to double the conveyance allowance for employees in Grades 1 to 16. The proposals are expected to be reviewed before the provincial government makes a final decision in the budget.
