A young boy was reportedly thrown into a brick kiln by a landowner in Sharaqpur Sharif, Sheikhupura district of Punjab.
According to police and eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred when the child approached the landowner, who was eating a corncob, and asked for a portion. The man allegedly became enraged and hurled the child into the burning kiln.
The severely injured child was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital by his father. Hospital officials confirmed that the child had sustained extensive burn injuries and was in critical condition. “We are doing everything possible to save his life,” a hospital spokesperson said.
The child’s mother told reporters that her family survives by begging in the area. Tearfully recounting the horror, she said, “The landowner threw my child into the fire of the kiln without any mercy.”
Police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to arrest the suspect responsible for the brutal act.
