The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police delivered licensing services to 1,386,887 residents in 2025 and issued a record number of driving licenses during the year, according to its annual report.
The report shows that the department expanded access to licensing facilities across Rawalpindi district and processed a high volume of applications throughout the year.
Officials credited the performance to service-focused measures introduced under the supervision of Farhan Aslam, who leads the city’s traffic police.
During 2025, the department issued more than 434,000 learner permits, reflecting strong demand from first-time drivers. It also issued 244,825 new driving licenses, the highest annual figure on record for the district.
In addition, the traffic police issued 3,932 international driving licenses, enabling residents to legally drive abroad.
