The delegation was led by BYD Vice President Liu Xueliang and Mega Motor Company Chief Executive Officer Aly Khan.

The company also shared its long term vision of positioning Pakistan as a regional hub for electric vehicle manufacturing and exports.
Mega Motor Company said Pakistan occupies a strategic position in BYD’s global expansion plans and outlined a phased localization strategy aimed at increasing local content through partnerships with domestic suppliers. The company also plans to develop charging infrastructure with local partners and train Pakistani engineers and technicians to support the industry’s growth.
Aurangzeb reiterated the government’s support for investments in electric mobility, local manufacturing, and sustainable industrialization, noting that a robust charging network would be essential for wider adoption of electric vehicles. The meeting also discussed the role of plug in hybrid electric vehicles during the transition toward full electrification and the opportunities created by Pakistan’s growing use of solar energy.
