5 Makeup Trends for a Bolder You in 2019

Women of the world, its time to rock with these makeup trends.

With 2019 here, we have got to swap out the old with all the new trends this year, especially during the winter season. And for the ladies, this means its time to go spruce up our looks for the brand new year. What better way to accomplish this but with spiffy new makeup styles?

When it comes to makeup, things are mostly based on seasonal preferences. We are going back to the past for 2019’s biggest makeup trends, with the 80s revisited. With that comes a whole range of loud colors and makeup is no exception to that.

Even though haute couture is meant for the runway, there’s no reason why some of those trends can’t work for us on regular days. So here is how to take those haute couture makeup trends from the runway and transform them to wearable looks.

1. Popping Eye Shadow

As I mentioned earlier, the 80s were all about those bright pops of color. An entire vivid eye-shadow look can be intimidating. But what you can do here is to swap that with colorful eyeliner and a minimalist face, with either matte or dewy skin.

Or you can just go neutral and just use colored mascara.

Another suggestion is to pick muted hues to harsh colors.

2. Vampy Lips

While dark lips are common for fall/winter makeup ideas, during these past few years, nude-colored lips have replaced that idea.

Dark lips are said to age the wearer and make you look dull, but not if done right. Glowy minimal makeup with dark lips can bring out your inner siren. Or even better, use a pigmented gloss instead of matte formula.

If you’re scared or dark colors bleeding out, use a liner first. Berry-colored shades are more forgiving so go with blackcurrant, plum, raspberry, you get the idea.

3. Wild Winged Liner

Winged liner is a classic. Everyone from schoolgirls to working women has at some point in the adorned this look.

The 2019 liner trend isn’t so tame and classic though. Additional flicks and hollow lines are trending this year.

4. Make it Glow

Glitter never really dies (maybe because its so hard to remove) but 2019 is bringing it back in a huge way. There is glitter in everything from shimmery shadows to glitter lipstick and lip topper.

For those that are too intimidated by glitter, opt for holographic or light metallic shades. That makes the glow more wearable.

5. Ethereal Skin

Since all the other trends are about the glow and color pops, its natural that you would need a clean canvas to pull that off. For that reason you will be working with light-weight natural coverage foundations, but with a glow.

The soft skin glow is not hard to pull off. Just make your skin looks healthy. It is a better idea to invest in skincare and lay down the foundation.
