Popular beauty artist and entrepreneur Hina Durrani took to her Instagram to share some interesting details about her late mother and legendary singer Noor Jehan. Besides being an icon of the showbiz industry, Hina revealed that she was a wonderful housewife and a caring mother who used to love making meals for her children.
Known as Malika-e-Taranum, Madam Noor Jehan is one of the greatest and beloved figures in not just Pakistan, but around the world as well. Considered to be the legend of the music industry, there are not many who have come close to the heights of her popularity to date.
Her iconic voice and songs are timeless. A talented singer and actress, Noor Jehan’s career spanned over six decades. Sadly, the legendary performer passed away on 23 December, 2000. However, her legacy lives through her children and grandchildren.

Hina revealed that Noor Jehan loved being at home with her kids as she would cook and feed them herself on Sundays.
Not only that, Malika-e-Taranum was very fond of knitting as she also stitched and even trained tailors herself. She would even knit sweaters for her children as well as her husband.

She was never separated from india emotionally, that’s my opinion you may disagree today because of differences of india and pakistan. She got tremendous love from we Indians and we never considered her from a different country. We treated her as our own common gem. Music knows no barriers like love knows no barriers. I pray to almighty Allah to grant her exalted place in jannat ul firdaus and also pray to grant better sense to leaders of both countries so that we can live like brothers and sisters together.
