BeechTree’s Discount Sale Turns Into a Contest of Savagery [Video]

Grace and dignity was nowhere to be seen.

When Pakistan saw its first few cases of coronavirus, some folks tried to take precautions against it. But even in those days, when the danger of infection was very real, herds of people were seen rushing to the malls and grocery stores. Netizens had been sharing videos of everyone outrageously shopping. Although the spread of the virus is now under control, a clothing brand’s sale brought some women’s penchant for greed to the forefront.

Videos of a BeechTree outlet in Lahore are going viral on social media. This video reminds us that ignorance and foolishness are not limited to a person’s social class.

Let’s take a look at this video first:

Apparently, the brand has an on-going ‘season end sale’ of 50% and that was enough for the ladies to turn into loose cannons. Not only were some of the women not wearing masks, but there was no breathing space left for another human.

Netizens are now calling out these ladies who appear to be from well-off and educated families. But alas, they failed to show even a tiny grain of dignity and grace.

Let’s see what the public has to say on this matter:

While some are arguing that the BeechTree store/brand itself is not at fault, there is a need for accountability here. Brands are bound to see more traffic at stores during discount periods, and they have a responsibility to adhere to SOPs during this time of the pandemic. It should have been their priority to ensure safety. Perhaps they could have employed a little extra help.

Of course, the ladies in no way behaved civilly, but hey we’ve seen this happen before, haven’t we?
