Maya Ali Pens Shares Emotional Note For Her Dearly Departed Father [Picture]

It has been 4 years since he passed away.

Maryam Tanveer, more popularly known as Maya Ali has become a household name in Pakistan. In an interview, the Parey Hut Love actress recalled the time when she decided to join the media industry. Although her father did not speak to Maya for 8 long years because of her career decision, things changed a few months before he passed away.

In a heartfelt moment, Maya is reminiscing about the time with her father, on the occasion of his 4th death anniversary.

As quoted by  a local media outlet, Maya shared that initially, her father was not supportive of her career choice. In fact, he did not speak to her for eight years before coming to terms with the fact that she is an extremely talented adult who made a huge choice.

When I joined the entertainment industry, my father stopped talking to me for eight long years. I wish he would have not stopped talking to me. If nothing else, I at least wanted him to get mad at me or anything like that, you know? I remember I would say ‘Baba, Assalam-o-alaikum’ and he would never even reply back.

Six months before Maya’s father passed away, however, he started to become more understanding and accepting of her choices.

When I could not win an award for Diyar-e-Dil, he said, ‘It is OK, Beta, next year, you will win it for Mann Mayal’ and I did. I won the award next year but, he was not there to celebrate it with me.

Now, it has been four years since she lost her dad. The Mann Mayal actress got emotional, saying that time does not heal certain sorrows.

Taking to her Instagram account, she wrote:

It’s been four years since you left us. People say time is a great healer but the reality is not the same always. I miss you baba jan on every small moment, with each passing day, whenever there is an up and down. You’re in my prayers, in my thoughts and you always will be.

She further reminded everyone to spend quality time with their parents.

I have always said this, and I am still saying and I always will, please spend as much time as possible with your parents. Once they are gone they won’t come back. Please recite Surah Fateha for my baba..

Attached to the post was a beautiful picture of Maya’s father from when he was younger. Let’s take a look:

We appreciate Maya Ali for her utmost honesty and for staying strong throughout these years.
