A Pukhtoon invigilator’s pictures are going viral on social media, where he can be seen taking care of a candidate’s newborn baby. Although none of the parties involved in this story have been identified, we are truly touched by this random act of kindness.
We often come across stories of women being forced to let go of their education either due to family pressures or because of marital responsibilities after having a child. According to Statista in 2020, only 59% of the Pakistani population is literate, and only 47% of the female population contributes to this literacy rate.
Kudos to this woman, who proved to be the epitome of an empowered woman by pursuing her education in face of challenges motherhood brings. Not only did she change people’s perspective on the dire need for girls’ education, but the invigilator also proved that sometimes we get the helping hand we need.
