Seven university students died by plummeting to their death from the fourth floor in a university in Bolivia. Tragedy struck when a balcony railing gave way, leading the students to fall over.
According to Al Jazeera, the Bolivian government said at least seven students died and five were seriously injured when they fell from the fourth floor of a university building after a metal railing gave way.

The injured and deceased were university students between the ages of 20 and 24.
Footage of the incident shows students crammed into a narrow passageway, pushing and shoving trying to enter an assembly hall when the tragedy struck. The metal railing of the fourth-floor balcony gave away under the weight of the bustling students.
As several plummeted to their death, some managed to hold on for dear life at El Alto university near La Paz. People still await further information about the UPEA (El Alto Public University) accident.
According to Bolivian Health Minister Jayson Auza,
“From this accident, seven have died and five are in a critical state, some of them stabilised in hospitals in the city of El Alto, near La Paz.”
Previously, Interior Minister Eduardo del Castillo had reported five deaths and three injuries in the UPEA incident. The death toll was revised after the Health Ministry reviewed case details.
Eduardo Del Castillo said he had ordered an investigation into the accident.
