Dilip Kumar’s death left the world in a state of shock. Widely known by his stage name, Muhammed Yusuf Khan, the King of Tragedy passed away at the age of 98.

The Bollywood superstar was hospitalized last week after his health deteriorated. Dilip Kumar’s death was shared by his friend, Faisal Farooqui.

#DilipKumar is trending on Twitter, as people all around the world are mourning his death. Pakistani celebrities, cricketers and politicians also took to the micro-blogging network to express their sorrow on the demise of the veteran actor.

PM Imran Khan shared a throwback photo with two legendary actors, Dilip Kumar and Moin Akhtar and praised the former by calling him ‘the greatest and most versatile actor’ of his generation.

 

Shahid Afridi also expressed his grief and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family. He wrote,

“Indeed to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return. A huge loss for Yousuf Khan sahib’s fans from KPK to Mumbai and across the globe. He lives on in our hearts. Deepest condolences to Saira Banu Sahiba.”

Many Bollywood celebrities were spotted at the late actor’s residence to attend his funeral. In a viral photo, Shah Rukh Khan was seen consoling and comforting a devastated Saira Bano.
