Recent details include our first look at the film courtesy of Studio Canal UK. The production house teased a look at the cross-cultural romance.
The first look of the project showcases Shahzad Latif in a traditional kurta and Lily James woman in a leather jacket at a desi wedding hall. They play the roles of Zoe and Kazim in the movie, respectively. We definitely see the cultural mixing aspects of the story.
What’s Love Got To Do With It? follows a filmmaker named Zoe, and her journey through love. Across the course of the film, we’ll get to see her swiping on the dating apps and going on bad dates. Meanwhile, her close friend Kazim will decide to go for an arranged marriage.
Sajal Aly also has a role in the movie, alongside stars like Oscar-winning Emma Thompson from Beauty and the Beast.
Globally acclaimed Pakistani singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is also featured on the official soundtrack of the film. He recorded two songs for the motion picture soundtrack and also has a cameo in the film.
Previously writer and co-producer, Jemima Khan shared how the movie will be a cross-cultural rom-com. She has also been sharing many tid-bits from the sets.
Directed by Shekhar Kapur, the film will hopefully hit theaters in 2022.
