Karach Sea View: Young Boy Tries To Con Aussie Vlogger Luke Damant

Australian vlogger Luke Damant has a bad experience at Karachi’s Sea View when a young horse owner tried to scam him for money. People are upset with incident, prompting Karachi police to take action.

The ongoing cricket series between Australia and Pakistan marks the revival of international cricket. Which means, the good news is that we’re getting a lot of tourists these days. Foreigners from all around the world want to experience the beauty of Pakistan and its people. However, not all experiences are good for our country’s image as one Aussie found out during a sea view horse ride.
Luke Damant is a popular Australian travel vlogger, who makes YouTube videos about the countries he visits. Recently, Damant made a 10-minute video about exploring Karachi, including taking a horse ride on the beach. However, the young man giving sea view rides to tourist tried to rip off Damant. Luke caught up with his scam of overpricing, but the young boy misbehaved. Check it out.

Eventually, a few locals ended the squabble but the video went viral on social media. Pakistani netizens are upset and embarrassed by the incident, prompting Karachi police to take prompt action against the boy. The police arrested the young man for maltreatment of a foreigner.

The boy made an apology video, in return Luke Damant dropped charges against him.

“This boy is young just like myself, and we all make mistakes,” Luke wrote. “I hope he learns from this experience. I know what he did was upsetting and unacceptable, and surely he will learn from this. But being kind to one another is the most important thing, even if we’ve made mistakes in the past.”
