Each year before Eid-ul-Adha there is a ritual of Kiswah, or changing the ‘Ghilaf-e-Kaaba‘. For the rest of the year people spend efforts to make the new Ghilaf. This year, Shaista Lodhi was fortunate enough to work on the new Ghilaf-e-Kaaba.
The morning show host posted a vlog sharing her experience working on the new Ghilaf. The experience was part of her Umrah journey in Ramadan.
In the video posted from Makkah, Shaista Lodi shared that she received a call from the factory which makes Ghilaf-e-Kaaba. Sharing show she doesn’t think she’s worthy of taking part in the stitching of Ghilaf-e-Kaaba, she voiced her gratitude that this is happening.
The television show host then Shaista then paid a visit to the factory where she took a little part in the stitching of Ghilaf-e-Kaaba.
Aside from the very unique experience, the vlog also documented her overall Umrah experience. According to the entertainer, she had been waiting for her call to Umrah for long and finally got the chance to make the pilgrimage now.
Shaista Lodhi also took the fans to the Makkah Museum and shared visuals of the Muqadasat of Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawarrah.
The medical doctor turned entertainer still runs her own clinic and cosmetic brand SL Basics.
