Imran Khan Kurtas Are Back in Fashion, And Are Worth 20K!?

Fashion brands like Atelier Karma cash in on the public sentiment by bringing back the iconic kurta with a digital face print of Imran Khan. However, the price tag of RS. 20,000 took everyone by surprise.

Legendary cricketer Imran Khan is finally forced out of his post as Prime Minister of Pakistan. The National Assembly’s No-Confidence voting saw the end of the Kaptaan‘s regime. The motion against Imran Khan sent shockwave nationwide.

People all around the country as well as around the world are taking to the streets to protest Imran Khan’s exit as Prime Minister. With nationwide strikes and protests going around, several brands are looking to capitalize on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) merchandise.

Anything with Imran Khan is currently a hot seller. In fact, one brand brought back the famous kurta that has our Kaptaan’s digital face on it. The particular clothing item was very popular in 2018 among PTI supporters, during a time when Khan was running for governor.

Fashion brand Atelier Karma wants to cash in on the public’s sentiment as they promote kurta on their social media page on Instagram.

However, before anyone thinks about purchasing this clothing item, they would have to burn a hole in their pockets. Because this kurta costs RS. 20,000 and an additional Rs10,000 for the trouser!

This feels like a blatant cash-grab attempt by a fashion brand to profit over public sentiment. In fact, Atelier Karma has since blocked people from commenting on their posts. So as to not allow people to reveal the actual price.
