Pakistani drama industry has come a long way but unfortunately, we are still portraying all the negative connotations attached to love, marriage, and society in general. The drama serial Dobara has now made the fans angry for portraying the blatant disloyalty of the character Mahir played by Bilal Abbas.
The story of the drama serial Dobara highlights the social issues faced by a woman after getting married to a man younger than her. The plot seems to be challenging the taboos of society. Fans totally adored the couple, Bilal Abbas, as Mahir and Hadiqa a Mehru. Mahir and Mehru left the fans in awe with their crackling chemistry.
But after the recent episodes, the fans are getting really annoyed with the disloyalty of Mahir even though Mehru is doing a lot for him even making a hospital in his father’s name. Many people felt that the character disrespected the purity of marriage in a hopeless manner. By not only falling for Narmeen but for pursuing her with the intention of marriage.
Dobara is an excellent show. However, this new conflict has turned many people against Mahir. They are tired of watching men cheat on women who clearly deserve better. They are fed up with being told second marriages are completely normal and settling for the bare minimum in men.
