Actress Saboor Aly opens up about interviewers and talk show hosts bringing up her mother.
Recently, a video clip of Saboor Aly is making rounds on social media. The clip is from the Parizaad star’s interview with BBC Urdu.
The 27-year-old talks about her career and her marriage to Ali Ansari. During the last segment, the host asks Saboor to give her opinion about talk show hosts asking provocative questions, trying to get a controversial answer out of a celebrity. The question struck a cord with Saboor as she explains that they like to “cash in” on people’s emotions.
“Me and my sibling don’t like to talk about this since it is a sensitive issue,” Saboor explains. “These people bring up sensitive issues, purposely.”
She specifically points about how these interviewers deliberately ask Saboor about her mother, zooming in on her face to capture a “candid” emotional expression.
Ironically, BBC Urdu does zooms in on Saboor’s face as she speaks. Netizens sympathize with Saboor, calling out the interviewers for their insensitive questioning.
Saboor Aly and Sajal’s mother, Rahat, was a homemaker who died due to cancer back in 2017.
