The death of Aamir Liaquat has left many shocked and upset. After much delay in burial due to the autopsy conflict between the police and Liaquat’s children. His son Ahmed Aamir went to the court to request for the body to be handed over to him without an autopsy.
Despite the emphasis of the police, the mortal remains of Aamir Liaquat were however handed over to his family members for burial after a judicial magistrate ordered police officials to follow the orders.
A large number of people gathered to lay the Aalim Online host to rest. Former governor of Sindh Imran Ismail and former Karachi mayor Farooq Sattar also joined the last rites.
Social worker Ramzan Chhipa performed the final ghusal. Aamir Ahmed led the funeral prayer in Abdullah Shah Ghazi mosque. Ahmed could be seen weeping and devastated while praying.
In a video earlier, Liaquat had informed that he had booked a grave in the graveyard of Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine. Next to a spot where his parents; politician Sheikh Liaquat Hussain and columnist Mahmooda Sultana, are also buried.
The news of his sudden death has sent shock waves across the country. We wish and pray that he succeeds in his next tests.
