Many have speculated that the core cause of late televangelist and politician Aamir Liaquat’s death was his private videos leaked by third wife Dania Shah.
Recently, a Karachi-based non-profit organization (NGO) filed a petition against Dania Shah for allegedly leaking private videos of her husband.
In the Karachi City Court, Judicial Magistrate East Wazir Hussain Memon has delivered a verdict on the petition to conduct a postmortem of renowned anchor Amir Liaquat Hussain.
The petition also urged the court to order the Cybercrime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to initiate action against Dania for recording the objectionable videos and then posting them online after a domestic dispute.
The petition was filed hours after the Karachi City Court ordered a postmortem examination of Aamir Liaquat.
Abdul Ahad, filed a petition to the Sindh High Court to exhume and conduct a postmortem on Aamir Liaquat. The autopsy had been denied by the heirs earlier at the time of burial.
“The heirs say an autopsy will hurt their father’s soul. They do not suspect any foul play. According to the police surgeon, the cause of death could not be determined without an internal examination of the body.” said the heir’s, public prosecutor and SHO Brigade police in court.
But Barrister Arsalan, counsel for petitioner Abdul Ahad, asserted that the untimely and mysterious death of Amir Liaquat Hussain had raised suspicions.
However, the decision has been made and the court has ordered the police to ensure the conduct of the autopsy.
