Adnan Siddiqui Avoids Event For Hosting Indians

As diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan remain stale, the entertainment industries on both sides suffer the same. Amid this Adnan Siddiqui made a decision to steer clear of ‘Indian events’ too.

India’s Federation of Western India Cine Employees really enforced a ban on working with Pakistani artists in any capacity. Meanwhile, there’s added tension after a Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader recently made derogatory comments about the Muslim Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

“In solidarity with countless Muslims around the world, I won’t be attending APPNA event in US where some Indian artists are invited too,” Siddiqui announced on Twitter earlier today. “Nothing against the artistes but my conscience does not allow me to overlook the humiliation of revered Prophet (PBUH) by Indian leaders.”

That is why Ghughi producer Adnan Siddiqui will not be attending an event conducted by the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA). APPNA is an American non-profit organization based in Westmont, Illinois, United States.

His reasons for not attending the event? The fact that the event is hosting Indian artistes.

The Ye Dil Mera actor asserts that while he holds no resentment towards artistes, his ‘conscience‘ does not allow him to be a part of something that’s also entertaining people from a country that allowed the humiliation of the Prophet (PBUH).
