Shahroze Sabzwari - Dil-e-Veeran

We all know that actors draw their inspiration from somewhere when they essay roles. However, did you know Shahroze Sabzwari had someone in particular in mind when playing ‘Talal’ in drama serial Dil-e-Veeran.

After quite a long break, Shahroze Sabzwari is currently seen in drama serial Dil-e-Veeran. He essays the role of ‘Talal’, a down to earth and smart man who struggles to delegate family politics. While speaking to a local television channel, the Hassad actor opened up about how he essayed the wrole, and who his portrayal is based on.

The character is an embodiment of all good. Which can be hard to essay as human nature is far more gray than white. However, the Bisaat-e-Dil actor has someone in mind when portraying the character. Who you ask? His father Behroze Sabzwari.

According to him, his father is a real life Talal. Honest to the bone.

“The most demanding part of the character was that it had to be as honest as an angel. He doesn’t lie, doesn’t mislead someone, and doesn’t betray anyone. I channelled my dad’s personality into this role. He is Talal in real life.”

Speaking more about the character’s backstory he shared that;

“Since childhood, he’s led the whole family on his shoulders. He’s all for having fun and laughing it out loud but he’s a very strict and principled person in matters of honesty. He can’t tolerate dishonesty or deception; it gets him angry and helpless. Talal demands strictness and a loud demeanour.”

Twitter has a lot to say about the drama serial’s plot twists and the story development. Particularly the slap scenes. That’s something even Shahroze Sabzwari commented on.

“This drama is aired every day. It’s not a one-episode per week drama so the slaps feel too many because it is being aired every day. However, it happens in other dramas too, they just seem to be paced differently, … I do feel that (there are too many slaps) too but I know the backstory. It was written for a one-episode per week model. So the slap that was supposed to air in July and August, all happened in June because the show now airs daily.”
