Recently a crime surfaced online as a video went viral of a Faisalabad man, Sheikh Danish, making a girl lick his shoes for rejecting his marriage proposal. The girl, a Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) student, was his daughter’s friend. Almost the same kind of story we are currently watching in the drama serial Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi. And after this heinous act in Faisalabad audiences want to ban this serial and called out PEMRA to take serious action against promoting this kind of content.
In Faisalabad after the young girl rejected the marriage proposal, Sheikh Danish along with his daughter and his workers abducted the girl, tortured her, cut her hair, and made her lick their shoes. They filmed this crime and posted the videos online. After this netizens are alarmed and scared at the state of safety in the country because the main culprit Sheikh Danish was released after a few hours on bail for only 50 thousand rupees.
Not understanding ‘no means no’ and glamorizing the idea that ‘no means try harder’ is a recurring problem in Pakistani drama serials. It also takes away the responsibility of a man’s action to resort to such questionable and even illegal acts for a woman’s attention. Much like the serial Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi which revolves around Shamsher (Danish Taimoor), resorting to anything to ‘possess’ Mehak (Dur-e-Fishan). His stalking and violence lead to the woman-hating him.
And after the recent episode of the serial netizens start comparing it with the recent Faisalabad incident and want to ban the serial for promoting and teaching the next generations that this is fine. Here are a few comments by the outraged audiences.

In other words the rest of the world has to suffer because some communities lack the ability to discipline their sons. No this is not fair, at the end of the day this is nothing but drama. Okay they shouldn’t make more, but we simply can’t let go of the drama half-way. Make harsh rules but leave Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi alone, it only has 6 more episodes left and we are done. As from today I promise to stop liking and watching Pakistani Dramas. This a heart felt note all the way from South Africa. Dramas are the only way I can share the norms and values of everyone around the world, This is the first time experiencing Pakistan out of International Headline News which paint a picture that was undone here. Yes this is a problem which exist and very painful, such thigs should not be hidden, but they should be exposed where everyone can openly attack
