Netflix Cancels Ahad Raza Mir’s ‘Resident Evil’ After One Season

The Netflix series will not be coming back for a second season after poor viewership.

Actor Ahad Raza Mir and his Netflix debut on Resident Evil came to an abrupt end. The streaming service canceled the series after just one season, opting not to order a second season.

Netflix’s Resident Evil series was a fresh take on the popular horror franchise. The Netflix series featured a completely new story with new characters. The show’s cast included Ella Balinska, Lance Reddick, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nuñez.

For Pakistani fans, this was Ahad Raza Mir debut on an international project, becoming the first Pakistani actor to be featured on a Netflix show. However, due to poor rating and viewership, Ahad Raza Mir won’t be returning to play the role of Arj Batra.

It comes as no surprise for the drama series, loosely based on the popular franchise, to succumb to cancellation. According to reports, Resident Evil did not have a strong show on Netflix’s Top 10 in terms of cost and viewership.

  1. Very Boring season not so much interesting i will give 2 out 10 so decision is right to cancel the next season.

It was so boring after 2nd episode I was yawning i hardly kept myself watching just to watch Ahad Mirza, and to see what was the hue and cry about next day I forgot about the season and started watching Alba again. It’s not about Ahad mirza its about the boring season. Personally I loved his acting in some desi Ramadan season they played on pakistani channel

  3. Foes and jealous people will say things like this but Ahad Raza Mir’s acting is really good,I enjoyed watching this season and would like to watch more.
