Shoaib Malik Opens Up About His Father And His Role in Him Becoming a Cricketer

The Pakistani cricketer fondly remembers his late father and all that he’s done for him.

Recently, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik made a special guest appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s popular talk show Super Over. The cricketer talked about his journey into the sport and how his late father played a crucial role in his selection for the national team.

“It’s because of my father that I became a cricketer,” Shoaib told Ahmed Ali Butt.

According to Malik, his father wanted him to go for the try-outs for the Under-15 World Cup. At the time, Shoaib was not selected many a times and refused to go. But after permission from his mother and sister, he went to the selection camp.
