Actress Urwa Hocane is back on TV. The actress will star in the upcoming drama serial Meri Shehzadi. According to reports, Urwa’s character “Dania” is inspired by the late Princess of Wales, Lady Diana.
Recently, Urwa Hocane took to her social media account on Instagram to share a teaser from her upcoming drama serial Meri Shehzadi. Urwa’s character is called “Dania” in reference to the late Princess of Wales.
“The story of Dania raised by her grandfather — a dedicated admirer of monarchies, treats his granddaughter like a princess,” Urwa explains in the caption. “Will Dania also face the same trials, tribulations and difficulties that come with a life of royalty?”
Urwa Hocane has always been vocal about stronger female characters in drama and Meri Shehzadi looks to do just that. According to reports, the show will capture the “reminiscence of Lady Diana” with Urwa’s Dania.
Aside from Urwa Hocane, the show features a stellar cast of actors including Ali Rehman Khan, Najiba Faiz, veteran actors Muhammad Qavi Khan, Shamim Hilaly, Atiqa Odho, Shabbir Jan, Nauman Masood and others.
Urwa Hocane is a multi-talented model and actress. The 31-year-old has been part of the showbiz industry for quite some time. She and her sister Mawra have become household names due to their beauty and acting skills. The Hocane sister even has their own fashion brand as well.
