Last week devastating earthquakes tore through southern Turkiye and northwestern Syria that killed thousands of people and destroyed the country’s infrastructure. More than 36,000 people have died across the countries and hopes of rescuing more survivors are dwindling amid freezing conditions.
Along with thousands of other innocent people, the Turkish actor famous for his role in the historical series Kuruluş Osman, Çağdaş Çankaya aka Başımız Sağolsun and his musician wife Zalan Tigris lost their lives after being buried under the debris following the terrible earthquake.
The production company, Bozdag Film, confirmed this distressing news on their official Instagram page.

The production company shared the picture of the two and wrote expressing regret that, “Actor Sağolsun along with his wife died buried under the rubble of the earthquake in Turkey” while praying for their forgiveness.
The actor played the role of an important soldier of Konya Palace in the popular Turkish drama series Kuruluş Osman, based on Islamic conquests.
