Pakistani music artist Haider Mustehsan, aka HYDR, made history at Coachella 2025, joining Indo Warehouse to headline the Gobi Stage on April 12 and 19. This electrifying performance marked a proud moment for Pakistan, showcasing its music on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Indo Warehouse, a New York-based DJ duo of Kunal Merchant and Armaan Gupta (Kahani), teamed up with Mustehsan to deliver a vibrant set blending Punjabi Bhangra, Gujarati Garba, and electronic beats.
The show, filled with dhol drums and colorful dance, turned the desert into a lively South Asian party. Fans called it “Indochella,” with one saying, “Haider and Indo Warehouse brought our culture to life!”
HYDR, known for his soulful voice and songs like Pepsi’s “Sohna Tu (Why Not Meri Jaan x Dance)” with Aima Baig or “Jalna” with Atif Aslam, shone brightly. His performance built on Pakistan’s growing presence at Coachella, following stars like Ali Sethi. “Representing Pakistan here is a dream come true,” HYDR shared on X.
The set was a cultural celebration, with visuals inspired by South Asian art and music rooted in Pakistani and Indian heritage. Indo Warehouse’s debut was a milestone, being the first South Asian electronic collective at Coachella. Fans worldwide watched via live streams, cheering the mix of desi rhythms and global beats.
This moment highlights the rise of Pakistani music globally, with HYDR and Indo Warehouse proving South Asian sounds can captivate huge crowds. As Pakistan’s music scene grows, this Coachella performance will be remembered as a game-changer.
