Abrar Ul Haq Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Sad news for the music industry.

Abrar Ul Haq

Abrar Ul Haq, who is equal parts singer, politician, and even a social activist in Pakistan, has made the news again. In a tweet, Abrar officially confirmed that he had contracted coronavirus.

He mentioned that he has tested positive for coronavirus and is now in self-isolation at his house. He further stated that he will go for a second round of tests in a few days.

Although it is worrisome for the nation to hear about this news, its not all doom and gloom. Abrar Ul Haq will continue serving as the President of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and will perform his duties for both PRCS and his own Sahara Trust activities over Skype.

Earlier, he made a note of the fact that he felt symptoms similar to those of the coronavirus. He mentioned that he felt symptoms like a fever and a dry cough which made him take the coronavirus test and later confirmed that his test was indeed positive.

In his tweet announcing that he has tested positive, Abrar Ul Haq said:

My corona test came positive, i am home quarantined, however, inshahallah, i will keep performing my duties through Skype as Red Crescent and Sahara worker. Please pray for me and all those fighting it.

The novel coronavirus has become a cause of worry for every household in Pakistan. It does not discriminate, whether you are a singer, politician, or someone belonging to an ordinary Pakistani family. As the news of Abrar Ul Haq contracting the coronavirus surfaces, it further emphasizes the fact that no one is safe from this pandemic and we need to take appropriate measures to stay safe.
