The famous YouTuber cum actor Arsalan Naseer recently walked on the ramp for the first time at BCW ’21 for the famous designer Humayun Alamgir. Although he had a fun experience he pointed out a fact about our fashion industry. The star recently shared a post on his Instagram account saying,
“I don’t think actors should be called ‘Showstoppers’, our modeling industry has enough talent which should be recognized. Maybe consider calling our walks ‘guest appearances’ or ‘cameo’ next time.”
Have a look at the post.
We surely agree with the Chupke Chupke star. And he is not the only one to think like this, his opinion was also supported by some of the big stars of the industry like Sajal Aly and Haroon Shahid. And they showed their support by commenting under his post.
The 19th edition of Pantene Hum Bridal couture week 2021 happened in Lahore. BCW has been a popular podium for giving designers, makeover artists, choreographers, models, and photographers a grand platform to showcase their talents. The three-day bridal extravaganza had an amazing line-up of actors and singers along with models walking for the leading as well as emerging fashion designers of the country.
Yumna Zaidi, Mawra Hocane, Minal Khan, Ali Rehman Khan, Hania Aamir, Affan Waheed, Arslan Naseer, Farhan Saeed, and Sarah Khan are some of the big names that wowed the audience with their entertaining and glamorous walks.
Although the celebrities make the show dazzling by their appearance and earn more viewership. But models work very hard to earn the title of showstopper which is later given to actors and singers. It is not right to steal the credit of hardworking models who devote their whole lives to being in the spotlight.
