Adnan Samad From Ehd-E-Wafa Opens Up About His Life [Video]

What’s next for the budding actor?

Adnan Samad

After completing his intermediate studies, Adnan Samad knew he wanted to pursue acting and got himself enrolled in NAPA. The love he has gotten from his role as Gulzar in Ehd-e-Wafa is indescribable.

He recently did an interview where he shared details about his life.

In a detailed interview with FUCHSIA Magazine, the actor shared how his journey in acting began:

My roots are in Taunsa Sharif.

When I got to know about the National Academy of Performing Arts then it was my dream to go there. I took admission there and I did a course of three years after that I got Ehd-e-Wafa.

Adnan always had a knack for acting- since his childhood, he revealed, he did many plays. However, the actor did not have a professional platform to grow like the other actors.

I was passionate about acting from childhood. In school, I used to do plays. I always had interest but I never had any platform to learn and enter in this field. I searched on the internet and got to know about NAPA and then I learned acting.

He further shared details of his family life. The actor has two brothers and a sister. When his father was alive, Adnan had to convince him to support his career as an actor.

My father is not alive and I have two elder brothers and I am the youngest among brothers. I have a sister who is younger than me. My brothers and mother were very supportive about my career but initially, my father had a problem with it but later I convinced him.

Even though Ehd-e-Wafa was his first big project, the star gained a lot of support from fans and followers. One fan in particular waited outside his house just to catch a glimpse of him.

A child travelled from Mianwali with his father and he came to meet me. He was standing outside of my house and he was surprised to see me and he couldn’t speak in surprise. This was a completing experience for me.

He was destined to play the role of Gulzar. Since the writer of the show wasn’t happy with any of the auditions for the role, Adnan’s friend asked him to send in an audition tape. We’re not sure if it was luck or talent, but he got selected and the rest is history.

The writer of Ehd-e-Wafa demanded that this character must be played by Seraiki actor and he took many auditions but didn’t like anyone. One of my friends who works in HUM shared this with me and I sent audition tape and after that, I was selected.
