Azaan Sami Khan is finally following his father Adnan Sami Khan’s footsteps. The 28-year-old has released his debut album, ‘Main Tera’. The 9-track ensemble showcased his singing and songwriter skills. Now, all eyes are on him as fans and followers are expecting great things from the young artist. However, in a recent interview, Azaan revealed his parents’ divorce affected him as a youngster.
In the interview, Azaan Sami Khan revealed that his mother, Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar did everything for him. He said:
After God, what am I today is because of my mother, and there isn’t a bit of doubt in it that will always be the case, and that is the fact. She served her whole life for me and she is very important for me and will always be important for me.
He further added that growing up there was bitterness in his household. However, as he got older and had his own son, that’s when his perspective changed.
Honestly speaking, while growing up bitterness was there, there was a lot of it. It isn’t that it wasn’t there. But when I became a father myself and my own children were born it was when, it started getting clear and I started seeing my parents as human, individually. I stopped judging them because I realized that how difficult it is to be a parent.
As a consequence of this, Azaan started seeing their parents as humans just like him.
So when that happened I started understanding my parents genuinely much better. Therefore, I started trying to understand them as people instead of my father or my mother or what they owe to me, or I owe to them.
And he has finally come to terms with everything and says:
Now I love my parents for the people they are.
We often see our parents as superhumans who can’t make mistakes or do anything wrong. However, as we grow up we start to understand the hardships and troubles they go through for the sake of their kids.
