Aijaz Aslam and Javeria Abbas are the Main Characters in Web Series ‘Suffer’

A multilayered story with a strong message.

As the Pakistani TV industry continues to grow and evolve, a new trend of creating web series for the public is on the rise. Since the last couple of months, there has been a plethora of interesting new web series in production. While there are some produced for international platforms, other series are being produced for local public platforms. The trend has interested some very accomplished actors, directors and writers to venture into this digital world of entertainment.

The latest Pakistani web series to look forward to is called Suffer. The web series is currently been in the pipelines. Suffer will feature popular names such as Aijaz Aslam, Javeria Abbasi and Aadi Khan in important roles. The series is written by Mehvish Hasan and it is helmed by S.R Rizvi. Moiz Abbas and Muhammad Rafiq are the executive producers for the web series.

In a recent interview, producer Moiz Abbas explained that Suffer is a family drama. He explained that while the word “suffer” in English means to endure pain, in Urdu it means a journey. Hence, the title of the series stands for both and further divulged that people will be able to relate with both meanings of the word when they watch the web series.

The story-line revolves around the conflict between a conservative father and his son who wants to move with the society. Moiz said that it is a multilayered story with a strong message which sounds very compelling!

Suffer will stretch over 5 episodes. The teaser of the web series has already been dropped while the trailer will come out on 21st March. Amidst the prevailing situation, as many are self-isolating to defeat coronavirus, web series can certainly prove to be an interesting way of passing the time!
