Looks like the family chose to hold the wedding now, before another wave of the Coronavirus pandemic has us in a partial or full lockdown.
Despite many people having been vaccinated and an ongoing vigorous vaccination drive, cases continue to pick up in Pakistan. This is being attributed to the Delta variant of the virus that made its way to the country.
This variant is significantly more contagious than other strains and there is no conclusive research on whether all vaccines are effective against it.
