Pop star Aima Baig is furious with the organizers of the Pak Fest for selling tickets with her name and picture.
The singer/songwriter was originally part of the Pak Fest season two lineup that included Ali Zafar, Falak Shabir, Asim Azhar, Kaifi Khalil, and more, during the three-day festival at Khayaban e Amin, Cricket Stadium, Lahore.
Aima Baig decided to opt out of the event due to “non-payment of services”, but Pak Fest organizers continued to feature her name and image to sell tickets.
Fans of Aima Baig were left disappointed to not see their favorite songstress perform at the Pak Fest in Lahore, even though she was advertised on the promotional posters and tickets.
Many fans shared pictures of their tickets, which prompted Aima Baig to speak up.
Aima responded to her fans and called out Pak Fest in a lengthy note on social media.
She wrote,
 I’m writing this note to express my disappointment regarding using my name to sell tickets after non-payment of my services. I regret to participate in Pak Fest Lahore and instead of removing my name from the participation, the organizers were making money over my name.
Baig further added, “They were misusing my name to the people and the fans who were buying my tickets to the concert. We have not received any communication or explanation from the Pak Fest organizers, which has cost undue stress and inconvenience to me”.
“I’m very disappointed due to this non-professional behavior to defame me, as people who love and watch my concert brought the ticket and I didn’t join due to payment issue,” she wrote.
Aima concluded her message: “I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation and make the necessary action.”
