Pop star Aima Baig revealed that she was once asked out on a date by a 72-year-old man who wanted to make her pineapple pancakes for breakfast.
The Yaarian singer appeared on Shahveer Jafry’s Honest Hour Podcast where she talked about her career journey. She shared a hilarious incident from her past.
It turns out that when she was working at a call center as a teenager, she had a run-in with a persistent 72-year-old man who had an unusual request.
According to Aima Baig, the man had called in to buy a cable connection and she had been tasked with making the sales pitch.
She had been using the alias ‘Lisa Jackson’ to sound more American and to fit in with the US customers. However, things took a strange turn when the man asked her out on a date. The man, who believed Aima was from Ohio, was insistent that he take her out to his favorite breakfast spot, where they served pineapple pancakes.
Aima was taken aback by the odd request but couldn’t help but be intrigued by the idea of pineapple pancakes, which she had never had before.
