Sister duo Aiman and Minal Khan have responded to plagiarism accusations against their brand, AnM Closet. The sisters denied the accusations and said that fashion trends are forever recyclable.
AnM Closet‘s Eid Edit was criticized heavily for copying prints and designs from Zara Shahjahan’s Eid Edit II catalog. In fact, a few of them were so similar that it actually took a minute to realize that both of them are from different brands.
The only difference between the outfits is the color contrast. While Zara Shahjahan opted for brighter colors, the sisters went for more muted tones.

Netizens were quick to notice the similarities and called them out for blatantly plagiarizing Zara Shahjahan’s work.
Aiman and Minal have now addressed the ‘drama’. Taking to their respective Instagram handles, they shared a video edit from their Eid collection and wrote,
“Despite all the drama, the colors won the run! It was fun making this collection, and even more, fun selling it. Fashion and trends are never outdated, they are just glorified and used again. The magic of prints is in the air, and we are loving it.”
