Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi Passes Away At 76

Famed religious scholar and author Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi passed away on Sunday at 76 years of age.

According to his relatives, he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the nearest hospital. It was unfortunately too late.

The religious figure’s death came as surprise for many of his supporters. According to the details, Naqvi suffered a heart attack late Saturday night. His family and relatives rushed him to Aga Khan University Hospital.

Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi is a well-known figure in Pakistan. His sermons left thousands of enthralled followers spellbound.

Zameer Akhtar was a learned scholar.

Born in 1944, Naqvi grew up in the Indian city of Lucknow. After studying till his graduation, he moved to Karachi in 1967.

He has a PhD from the University of Karachi and is quite a knowledgeable figure when it comes to science, philosophy, literature, journalism, culture, and Islamic history. Naqvi shared this knowledge in his books, going to author 28 books on several subjects that also includes Urdu ghazals and the events of Karbala.

He was also the head of Aness Academy and the editor of the Al Kalam magazine.

Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi’s funeral prayers will be offered at the Imambargah Shuhada-e-Karbala in the Federal B area.
