Social media has truly bridged the gap between countries. You could be sitting in China and find yourself connecting with someone in Argentina. And then, there are the matters of the heart. Getting married isn’t easy, and nor is finding love.
Finding love through Facebook is like finding a needle in a haystack. But not for this one American lady. This 55-year-old American woman, however, found love in a small town in Rawalpindi.
According to media reports, Elizabeth Mandez found Shahzad Ahmad Khan, a 27-year-old Pakistani man, through Facebook. Having fallen in love, she traveled to Tāndliānwāla, Rawalpindi.
In fact, she has now also converted to Islam to be with her partner.
They get married
The two of them have tied the knot in a court marriage and Elizabeth has changed her name to Maryam Shahzad. Moreover, Maryam revealed that she has been touring the city, and is extremely happy.
She also added that the people here are really hospitable, which is why she loves the country. Take a look at the video here:
We hope the 55-year-old American woman has a happy and healthy married life.
