The late qawwal, Amjad Sabri’s daughter, Hoorain, got married this week in an intimate nikkah ceremony at their home in Lahore.
According to the wedding card, her groom’s name is Musa.
Netizens sent congratulations and wishes to the young couple on social media, and many fondly remembered the late singer, Amjad Sabri, in their prayers.

Actress and TV show host, Maya Khan, was reportedly also invited to attend Hoorain’s nikkah ceremony. She recorded the marriage ceremony, including the festive mehndi function, which was held a day after the nikkah, and shared them online.
Maya Khan was a close friend of Amjab Sabri who had always considered her his sister.
Amjad Sabri was killed in Karachi on 22 June 2016, and the world lost one of the greatest qawwali singers of this generation. The news came as a shock and people were mortified by the tragedy.
His memory continues to live on through his music and his family.
