Amna Ilyas & Dawar Mehmood have reportedly tied the knot in an intimate Nikah ceremony on Saturday. While the Baaji actress did reveal in May that she was marrying someone from the industry, their relationship was kept a secret.
Amna is a 29-year-old Pakistani television and film actress who has been a part of the showbiz since 2013. She first appeared in the movie Meenu Gaur and the same year appeared in the show Zinda Bhaag. But before starting her acting career, Amna was already a famous model.
Dawar, on the other hand, is a Pakistani theater director who has been a part of Kopykats Production. He is the man behind many famous plays and last year his play Naach Na Jaane was a massive success.
Amna, during Aamir Liaquat’s show Jeeway Pakistan, talked about having someone special in her life and tying the knot soon. However, she did not mention who it was, just that it was someone from the industry and that they were not working on any projects at that time.
I will soon tell you who that person is. He is my co-worker and we have great chemistry.
Now, the two of them are all set to work together in Dawar Mehmood’s theatrical production Ankahi. Amna Ilyas will reportedly play the role of Sana Murad which was played by Shehnaz Sheikh in the original series.
