A small group of people staged a protest against Nawaz Sharif outside the wedding venue of his grandson, Junaid Safdar. The demonstrators carried placards of “Voice of Pakistan” and “Luxury wedding with looted money” on the occasion and chanted slogans against the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

According to reports, PML-N workers and hotel security guards intervened to disperse the group. The protesters appeared to be PTI supporters who demanded the return of Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.

The group was led by Zafar Khilji, who is originally from Karachi and runs a trading company in East London. Speaking to the media, they said that they staged a protest “only to exercise our right of free expression”.

When PML-N workers noticed it, they immediately moved to snatch the banners and forced the group to leave the area.

Another group member, Dawood claimed that he was pushed and forced to leave the area when he was there to “question where the money came from for the expensive Nikkah ceremony?”

However, as they were leaving for their homes, a Pakistani cab driver named Muhammad Nadeem entered the scene and parked his car right outside the hotel. He blocked the passage, played a song, and started dancing while his wife, daughter, and son filmed him.

PML-N workers asked him to move his car, but he refused and said he was there to “have fun, dance and sing with my family” as a way to protest against Nawaz.

The protest turned into a scuffle. He told media that he was a supporter of PTI and “loved Imran Khan” but didn’t like anyone in PTI other than the party leader himself.

Nadeem said he wants accountability of Nawaz, however, Pervez Musharraf, Aleem Khan, Faisal Vawda should also be held accountable for the wealth they have made.
